Pre-Press Typesetter and Product Designer
Warwick Publishing (St. Charles, IL) is looking for a Pre-Press Typesetter and Product Designer to join our team. Reporting to the Pre-Press and Artwork Department Supervisor, the Typesetter and Designer is responsible for processing and typesetting existing artwork for active orders and designing new artwork, production layouts, and assisting with product prototyping as demand requires. Daily tasks involve heavy usage of Adobe’s software suite and light usage of Warwick’s proprietary operations software mixed with physical job tickets, samples, and production plates/dies.
This position’s daily mix between production-based typesetting versus new artwork, layout, and prototype design is heavily dependent on Warwick’s seasonality. As a late third and fourth quarter business, the daily mix in the fall and winter is tilted heavily towards the production side, whereas the remaining 8 months of the year are roughly balanced between production and design work.
Responsibilities include:
- Typeset new order artwork onto production templates
- Process completed artwork templates through any other necessary pre-press steps
- Design new artwork for product samples and for customer mock-ups
- Draft production layouts for custom products and stock product variations
- Draft prototype artwork, layouts, and designs in conjunction with upper management
- Design marketing materials in tandem with Warwick’s Sales and Marketing Team
- Support other Pre-Press/Artwork Department responsibilities as time permits
Qualifications:
- Prior work experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong attention to written and visual details
- Comfortable working with both Mac and Windows computers
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience in print production or quality control of printed and/or foil stamped products
- Prior experience/exposure to the promotional product industry
- Prior experience in product design

Shipping Department Working Co-Manager
Warwick Publishing (St. Charles, IL) is looking for a Shipping Department Working Co-Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Shipping Department Working Co-Manager is responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments of product, raw material, or other items as they pertain to Warwick’s operations. The Working Co-Manager is also responsible for assisting the customer service department with domestic and international freight quotes as well as maintaining relationships and negotiating with logistics providers like FedEx, UPS, USPS, and other freight carriers. Daily tasks involve heavy usage of Warwick’s proprietary operations software, physically packing, lifting, and moving boxes of finished product, moving skids/pallets of raw material, regular telecommunication/occasional in-person meetings with third party vendors, and co-management of other shipping department employee(s).
This position’s responsibilities are shared with Warwick’s current Shipping Department Working Manager. Both managers will be expected to work together on the above description, but a significant amount of freedom will be given to the two managers with regards to deciding who will handle the job’s various responsibilities on a daily basis. This person will be expected to manage and work alongside the shipping clerk(s) in their department. This is not exclusively a desk job.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate, send, and receive all inbound and outbound freight
- Finish the packing and shipping process of jobs once completed by their final manufacturing operation
- Provide freight quotes for the Customer Service Department
- Maintain relationships/negotiate with logistics and freight providers
- Assist the Material Handler in moving raw or work-in-process materials throughout the building, including the usage of Hand Jacks and Forklifts
- Manage other shipping clerk(s) priorities and daily tasks
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a shipping or logistics management role
- Strong attention to written details
- Comfortable working with Windows computers
- Current Forklift Certification or willingness to become Forklift Certified
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience in print production or quality control of printed and/or foil stamped products
- Prior experience/exposure to the promotional product industry
- Prior knowledge/experience with international shipping

Main Responsibilities
- Answering and directing calls
- Mail distribution
- Downloading and scanning of orders
- Sending samples to customers and maintaining the sample shelf
- Pulling orders from the factory when needed
- Checking status on customer orders
- Various projects as needed
